2144 - Busy with stuff for Marcia today, and schoolwork. This evening, I just finished up formatting and posting Jerry's column for the month. Time to walk dogs. Ciao!

2135 - A busy day. I was in Tysons Corner with Russ today, attending a Tripwire customer event pitching their new products, versions, and "vision" for the future. Pleasantly, some of the presentations were given by engineers and people who do stuff. That means fewer than usual marketing/sales folks. They were still out in force, though. They were easily identified by the sekrit corporate code word, "resonate", though. Tripwire is doing some cool, cool stuff though. While the message didn't resonate with me, as such, I will probably have to get hands-on time with some of their newest products for evaluation purposes.

I managed to fit in another few hours of schoolwork this evening, but it's now time to walk the little dog one last time. Ciao!

2222 - Nearly no post, again. Last night, 3 hours of schoolwork and 2 hours of remote work. Tonight, some school, some windows tuning for a neighbor, and a bit of reading. Tomorrow, 6 or 5 hours of remote work, followed by schoolwork. Yeah, it's boring from the inside, too. More when there's more. Ciao!

2045 - A busy day. I started working at 0700, after feeding and walking the mutts. Schoolwork, laundry, and a bit of plumbing round out the day. Well, not quite: A couple of systems to update tonight, and four more tomorrow between 0730 and 0800. Ooooh, hey. First freeze this morning. It was "35" at the thermocouple just outside the kitchen window. There was a dusting of frost on the lawns, roofs, and cars. Here comes winter... right after this unseemly run of 70 degree days (upcoming) ends. Now, back to the schoolwork. Ciao!

2054 - We got our Christmas present to each other this weekend. Marcia wanted a less crappy TV, so I found one. I came back downstairs later this afternoon, and clearly all the purchases were working properly. She was asleep in her new La-Z-Boy Gibson recliner in front of her new TV. #FTW, with Double Rainbows on top. School work is now, finally, all caught up. Now ...

Our condolences to the families and units of these fallen warriors:

Visit the rest of the DAYNOTES GANG, a collection of bright minds and sharp wits. Really, I don't know why they tolerate me <grin>. My personal inspiration for these pages is Dr. Jerry Pournelle. I am also indebted to Bob Thompson and Tom Syroid for their patience, guidance and feedback. Of course, I am sustained by and beholden to my lovely wife, Marcia. You can find her online too, at http://www.dutchgirl.net/. Thanks for dropping by.
