March 2009 - Welcome! I'm Brian Bilbrey, your host on these pages. There are several things that I'd like to bring to your attention. The first is my daily journal pages - the part of this site called Graffiti. That is where I write about what's going on around the home front, at work, gardening, building and refinishing furniture, and about my continuing odyssey with computers, Linux, OS X, Windows, and other related fun. There's a couple of new features on the site: Short List, and Favorite Tools. The former is a place for me to keep lists of things I want or need, but not badly enough to do something about it. Fundamentally, it's a tool for me to keep track of what to do with funds that come up spare - better to have a list than to go on a whim, sometimes. Favorite Tools is going to be a landing zone for short-subject posts on tools that I use, links or emails about them, etc. It may end up being re-imagined as a blog-like facility at some point, in which case the page here becomes a linking book instead. My current employer is Dynaxys, LLC, where I am a Senior UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator, but I also pitch in where ever else I might be useful. Find the rest of the Gang at Daynotes.NET, or the original site, Daynotes.COM. The latter is a listing of (mostly) only the active Daynoters, and diverges from the .net site.
