The Favorite Quilt
I was "talking" with someone about what I'm hanging onto, the mementos of my life with Marcia that bring me joy and happy memories. This quilt is perhaps my favorite one that she made.

The blocks that make up the image of the Japanese lady are individually embroidered in metallic and jewel tone threads. The "frame" is blue tone-on-tone embroidery. She assembled the blocks and then quilted it. It's four feet wide by five tall.
If it takes longer to load on the page, it's because I left it at full resolution for y'all.
I've moved the quilt into the foyer/office, where it'll spend more time by my side.
Georgia is a blessing
This mutt continues to stick by my side and help me through the days, although she's confused that I'm sleeping in a bit more, now that I'm retired.

That's all I've got for the moment.
